Nissan Tekton: Nissan is read to come back with its new C-SUV, the Nissan Tekton which will launched in India and abroad in the next year. This midsize SUV will slot above the popular Magnite in Nissan’s line-up, marking the brand’s return to prominence after a relatively quiet period following the Magnite debut. The company recently launched the X-Trail as a Completely Built-Up unit, the Tekton is poised to make a stronger impact with its bold design and competitive positioning like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Honda Elevate.
Design Inspired by the Patrol SUV

The design of Tekton draws inspiration from Nissan flagship patrol SUV. Its front fascia features a sleek, flat bonnet paired with a horizontal LED light bar that seamlessly connects the sharp C-shaped headlamps.
Its bumper design further enhances its bold stance. The ‘TEKTON’ logo is prominently displayed on the bonnet (as shown in pic), reminiscent of Land Rover iconic badging style.
On the sides, flared wheel arches lend a robust profile, and unique rear door handles mounted on the C-pillar, adding a distinctive touch. The rear design mirrors the front’s boldness, with a full-width red LED light bar connecting C-shaped taillamps and prominent tailgate featuring the Tekton name. The SUV design language positions it as a global product, with both single and dual tone color options expected to to launch.
Expected Interior and Features
The company has not yet revealed the Tekton’s interior or features. However, it is assumed to feature a premium and minimalist cabin. Other expected features of the Tekton include high-quality materials, soft-touch surfaces, a large touchscreen infotainment system, and a fully digital driver’s display.
Additionally, it will come equipped with a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat, and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) for enhanced safety. The Tekton blend of modern technology and premium design is set to make it a strong contender in the C-SUV segment.
Powertrain and Platform

The Tekton is expected to offer a range of powertrain options to the Indian market, including naturally aspirated petrol, turbo-petrol, and potentially a strong hybrid engine in higher trims. An all wheel drive system may also be available on top variants. Transmission choices will likely include both manual and automatic options to cater to diverse preferences.
Nissan’s partnership with Renault at its Chennai manufacturing facility will enable the Tekton to serve both the domestic market and select international markets, aligning with the brand’s “One Car, One World” strategy. The name “Tekton,” derived from the Greek word for “craftsman” or “architect,” reflects Nissan’s focus on precision engineering and premium design.
